Zhou Huang, born in September 1983 in Fenyi, Jiangxi.

He is the Deputy Director of the Institute of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System (Peking University), Associate Professor, PhD supervisor, and a young scholar of the Changjiang Scholar Award Program. He is also the Executive Deputy Director of Beijing Key Laboratory of Spatial Information Integration and 3S Application, and the Executive Deputy Director of the Engineering Research Center of Earth Observation and Navigation.

His main research interests include high-performance GIS software technology, remote sensing cloud computing, spatio-temporal big data science and application, etc. He enrolls students in the field of spatio-temporal big data computing and mining.
